In spite of the ample bibliography and the academic studies that have been realized on the familiar planning and contraception in the Caribbean Latin region, the situation in Haiti is little unknow. In last the two decades, a lot of institutions, international and national, work in Haiti in the familiar planning offering to the Haitian population and specifically the women in age of reproduction, different services of reproductive health and contraceptive services. Nevertheless, the level of prevalence of use of contraceptive method is still very low and the level of needs unsatisfied of contraceptive is the highest in the region. This situation makes arise many questions: The problem of use of contraceptives is only concentrated in the level of availability and accessibility or also in the behavior of the women respect to the use of the services? How can explain the behavior of those women who declare to have unsatisfied needs but they do not want or they leave to use the suitable methods to avoid that? The objetives of this work are to develop an analytical-empirical frame so that it allows to understand the reproductive behavior of the women respect to the contraceptive services in Haiti in terms of unsatisfied of contraceptive, including the determining factors, and integrating the effect of selection via the general nonuse.
