Women's role in economic development is commonly admitted. But in many countries, women's economic activities are still an extension of historical domestic occupation. In this article, we analyze the Haitian women entrepreunarial situation and show that women empowerment currently claimed by many actors more romantic than economically pragmatic since women stay in poverty and unvervalued business.
